If I’m not going to office I would wear brown chalk stripe, I can see summer dark brown linen suit easier than fall brown flannel chalk stripe for some reason

Chocolate brown cavalry twill from Dugdale. Chalk stripe maybe tough.

Yeah, brown pinstripe looks very costumey to me. Bold and interesting but maybe a dinner party statement piece?

Chalk stripes are one place where belly on a lapel can really look good.

It's hard to tell, but it may be a rope stripe.

Also, it looks like he's wearing the RLPL Gregory fit - a very structured shoulder (probably the most shoulder wadding in any RTW brand I've handled), and a very narrow chest/waist. That may account for the lack of belly.
