Yea, that's one of my favorite videos on that channel. That style later influenced the Teddy Boys, as you probably know. As soon as the "lower classes" picked it up, the original customers dropped it.The, "Best suit of 1950," video is something that the internet threw at me through the dark arts of algorithms that I'm sure will someday make a more prosaic version of the things that I was exposed to watching too much Sci-Fi Channel as a boy become real. I was tickled by the vintage fifties earnestness of it.
And I liked the suit, especially the gauntlet cuffs. I'm a sucker for gauntlet cuffs, but I feel as though one has to be careful abut them.
I always associate gauntlet cuff with outwear and maybe dinner jacket, never knew it was a thing on suit at certain point
