HA! That was worth a laugh
Drake's grenadines at TJ Maxx?
Still think Spoo takes the cake in terms of TJ Maxx/Marshall's tie finds. His Marinella was both more tasteful and more versatile. Still a nice find though. Reminds me to go back to Marshall's...
my TJ Maxx has an excellent selection of nautica, phat farm, and sean john, if anyone needs a proxy.
Not sure where to post this, but...
I love the feeling of excited anticipation you get after placing a new order. In this case, a couple of bespoke jackets from my usual tailors, Ede & Ravenscroft. Fabrics chosen from H&S' Sherry Tweed book and luckily, I managed to google up some swatch pics:
Both jackets will be spec'ed the same: 2 button, slightly slanted pockets, side vents, with subdued linings. The check patterns are striking enough to not require any more radical style details, I think.
Also ordered a pair of MTM cords at the same time, in a mustardy/tan sort of shade, from a Porter & Harding book. They'll look smashing against the green check!
That top tweed is the ducks nuts, H.
HF - that is beautiful fabric. cant wait to see the finished product.
There's an Ed Hardy tie that's been sitting at my local Marshalls for a month or so. I think it's down to $15 if anyone wants a proxy.
It's a wonderfully conservative designfor them, doesn't even have rhinestones.
Are you sure it's not a Stefano Ricci?
He said $15, not $1500. Have you seen that Ricci tie/cummerbund/bowtie with the crystals in person?
I have actually. It was next to about fifteen framed tearsheets from The Robb Report. I imagine if you bought it, you would have to wear it with those framed tearsheets.
Haha, yup. The sad thing is, that despite being covered in crystals, it looked pretty tacky.
It's a strange obsession with bling for a man who looks like Karl Marx
Well, classy a design as it is, it has "Ed Hardy" stamped right on the front.
