On an whim I purchased a pair of MBT loafers.

They are certainly unusual and have a different feel than regular "comfort" and walking shoes. It's like wearing a rocking chair on your soles.

Anyone have experience with MBT's? Has anyone experienced the advertised benefits of better posture, less stress on the joints, etc.?

Thanks.

I wear them every other day when I know I will be walking a lot at work.

There is some validity to the shoes activating the kinesthetic sense constantly. How much it does for "exercising your core muscles" I do not know. It seems less than effective than doing this. As far as posture, this is better.

Ugly. They remind me of the athletic shoes from that Seinfeld episode where Cosmo Kramer is mistaken for a special needs poster child.

This makes for a very interesting read - http://nymag.com/health/features/46213/ I've got a pair of MBT's, though i can't say I wear them much. takes a bit of getting used to the rolling gait. Personally I like getting the 2-3 inch lift in height most of all! But I feel like people look at my feet like I've got some deformity... Although the newer ones are a bit prettier.
