I've been pretty lazy putting up some pics when I was in Napoli a few months ago. I went to the Matuozzo's to pick up a shirt-jacket they made up for me. It is composed of a vintage heavyweight linen (circa 20-22oz) in a hopsack weave. There was only enough to make two coats, one she made up in a 3 button jacket for display at Pitti last month, and the other is my 'martingala'.

and this one is mine:

Envious, though honestly I like the one she made without the throat latch or martingale better. That is, to me, the perfect casual jacket design.

I think this is the same basic model, but in a different color and a slightly different cloth. It does have the martingale back.
Very nice casual summer jacket.

Wow, very nice! I would think that a linen 20-22oz would keep creasing to a minimum.

pretty awesome... does the latch have a functional purpose? Seems like its something only to be used on colder days.

Matt, were you in Asia a few weeks back? Specifically China and HKG? I was introduced to someone who strangely resembles your photos...

Agree, it is the same model. Perfect for summer, and also in wool or cashmere - for fall.

Indeed, it creases a LOT less than the more normal weight linen.

Not canvassed and unlined. As for interior photo, I'll try to take some when the weather here improves.

The martinagale is a nice touch, but does it serve a purpose?
