Thank you Mr. Balls. The context is that the one on the right is supposed to be a paired belt to the shoes (Florsheim), but clearly it is another color. The one on the left is a pretty good match but is faux leather-got pressed for time and couldn't make it to a decent mall or store. I hit 6 stores and couldn't find one leather tan belt in 34 or 36.

I hope to have a bit of time today to hunt, as I'm wearing something to a wedding tomorrow.

Thanks. Yeah, it will be less noticeable when worn. A little OCD creeping in, I guess!

I think I will wear the cheap pleather this weekend and send the other one back. The matching details are a bit too much of a match, anyway, IMO.

And, indeed, often it's better that they not be a perfect match. So long as the colors are similar enough to work together harmoniously, you're probably fine. With some maintaining that extreme attention to getting a perfect match can actually be a negative thing, like spending 10 minutes fussily arranging a pocket square.
