Matching the bag with sportcoats/blazer in the winter

This problem has annoyed for some time. I always have books, documents and camera when I go out and I'd like to find a bag that can match my sportcoat, shirt and wool pant in the winter. Shoulder bag is too casual and briefcase/satchel is too traditional/office attire. A well-crafted leather tote bag is an option to me. Do you have any other recommendation?

Earlier in the year someone posted this bag from Colonel Littleton.

I don't own one so I don't really know how good of a bag it is, but it looks pretty nice.

The Littleton bag is nice but weighty. Too large for everyday use, too.

I bought this bag 4 months ago and I cannot say enough about quality.
When I signed up for e-mail updates they sent me a coupon code for first time buyer. I think it was 10%. Total with shipping $178.00
Bag comes with water proof interior detachable inside pockets (accessible from outside via zipper) and a dust bag. This bag is perfect for the city photographer.
To my shame I have to admit I first saw this bag on Brad Pitt, but aside from his reluctant endorsement it is truly a superb product.
