Typically, when wearing an open-collared dress shirt (no tie) over a t-shirt/undershirt so the undershirt's collar is visible, do you think the two should match in color or not?

I usually wear black t-shirts regardless of the color of the dress shirt, but I'm starting to think maybe I should try to color match them. Any opinions on this.

(Oh, and for those of you who think visible t-shirts under a dress shirt is bad taste, please let me know. I probably won't stop wearing them, but I'd like to hear why you think I should.)
