Matching Jacket, Vest, but not pants.. bad look ?

Any opinions on this ? Didnt get much of a response in SW&D.

Found the jacket to match my vest... but not the pants..

Basically this with different pants (in khaki though).. bad idea ?
This would be worn casually, i never dress formally...

Is this the Andover jacket from EG? Is your jacket and vest matching colors?

I have seen similar in Rugby lookbook. They seem to be able to carry it off, dont know if the average dude in MC can do it ....

If I tried it, it would look like the cleaners lost my trousers.

If they're both a casual material like linen or tweed then it would be okay. Just don't do it with a worsted suit fabric.

It would be a khaki Andover jacket, and khaki cinch vest..

But i dont have matching pants...
Trying to decide if i should purchase the Andover jacket.. and hope i come across the pants down the line..

even though i dont know if i could pull off a full khaki suit in a *very* casual work environment
