matching cufflinks/watch to belt?

new to the forum. a couple questions....

1) i have gold cufflinks and a gold/black watch that i normally wear with a black belt that has a silver buckle. is this kosher?

2) i just bought a pair of mahogany colored cole haan shoes that i would like to wear with a cordovan belt. can i pull this off or do i need to buy a mahogany belt?

I try to match metals but many don't worry about it. I don't think the belt buckle would be too much trouble as long as it isn't garish. At that point you would have other problems.

While matching leathers, I just try to get the tone right and not worry about a perfect match.
