1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

What a gentleman. Â Thracozaag and I had the chance of meeting Maestro Bizzochi at Kiton Custom, and we had a great time with him. Â Being an Asian, I am in awe with the humble mannerism of a person who is sitting on high, and a personality that will leave you speechless. Â A true Italian, he makes you feel like home in his presence, together with the two Kiton tailors Marcello and Carmine (who is probably the most elegant gentleman you will see in that entire Bergdorf Goodman). Â Bizzochi is soft spoken, a perfect example of Kiton ensemble with Lattanzi shoes, quite a gadget man (he uses the same Sony Ericsson P800 as me, though we both have trouble fitting them in our suits), gentle manners, tremendously charming, --- totally the opposite you'd expect from reading Robb Report or Departures. Â As much as I dislike his line of ties, he makes me want to explore them again. Â He is a perfect example of an Italian gentleman, who gives tremendous respect to his surroundings, even though he is the boss; and seeing him with the Kiton tailors was a joy --- the intimacy makes you think they are family. Â I can't wait to meet Paone in person --- he dismissed the tailors on the day when their favourite soccer team lost, so they won't 'sew their disappointment' into the suit. I can only affirm what naturlaut stated. Signor Bizzochi is not only a gentleman, but an ITALIAN gentleman of the first rank. Curiously, he hails from Biella, the famous center for fabric and something that he is extremely proud of. --the second photo of the unfinished Kiton suit features the dreaded "hands of Thracozaag"-- [IMG]

I hope that opinion is not shared by Messrs. Scriabin and Liszt.

Last summer, in Berkley, I had the unbelievable pleasure of meeting the granddaughter of Scriabin. I spent half the time gushing over her father (the famous Russian pianist Vladimir Sofronitsky), and the other half apologizing for butchering her grandfather's music. [IMG]
