FOUNTAIN OF VERMOUTH DISCOVERED!

By Dorian Wagner

DRURIDGE BAY, U.K. -- Martini shakers and stirrers everywhere are expected to make a mass exodus to the U.K. after a group of hikers announced they've discovered the Fountain of Vermouth.

<snip>
"We expect martini lovers will plan their vacations around the fountain, literally," said head of tourism Roger Reed. "In fact, there's one thing the area is missing in order become the perfect outdoor watering hole.

"We need to plant some olive trees."

If we're going to engage in this, let's at least stick to The Onion- it's funnier.

thing is, you don't really need to go to the fountain to make a proper martini. just salute in its general direction while you're pouring the gin. i mean, really, a fountain? it's just overkill.

now if they discovered a field of juniper which glistened with vermouth dew every morning, that would be something.

Or just run the glass under some sunlight that's filtered through the vermouth.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
