Could someone provide some information on the different Martegani lasts? I am looking at buying a pair of the Sorrentos but they only list as M for width. For reference, I am a 9.5E in my AE Park Avenues.

I am a 10D in Park Aves and have a 10 medium in Sorrentos and the Sorrentos fit, but snugly. They are more narrow than the Park Aves.

I have the Sorento. If I remember, it's on the 3B last? Or is it the 75? Either way- they're similar.

You'll want to go down one half size. The unusual u-shape opening at the eyes makes these just a bit roomy for a narrow foot, versus the typical 75 last, like the Siena's, which fit my B width foot very well. If you have a foot of average width or narrower, you'll be fine. if you are very narrow, say A width- I think you'll find these too roomy.

You might want to PM SF member RIDER. He is the US Martegani Rep.

Would the black Sorrento be suitable as a conservative (law firm) interview shoe? Or is the last a little too... something?

For about $150, the top of my price range.

I think they're a bit much for that. Too Italian?

90% of job interviewers are not going to notice your shoes. That said, I have a pair of Sorrentos and I probably wouldn't wear them for an interview. I'd go with my AEs just to be safe.

Anyone own a pair of shoes on Martegani's more classic 42 last?

Most helpful. I had searched the forums, but hadn't come across this. Thank you.

I have a pair on the 46 and it is very nice, certainly suitable for an interview. The 42 is slightly shorter than the 46, if I recall correctly, and actually more conservative. The 42 is Martegani's "British" style last.
