Are M&S shoes generally OK in sub €100 range? Or is there something better I can shop for...

i'd look around for some loakes, at a similar price they'll be vastly better in quality and elegance. Or allen edmonds on sale somewhere.

Egert, please state what country you are in at least. There will be members here possibly who can make recommendations in your area for clearance outlets, sales, etc.

Estonia, Europe. And as far as I've looked around the stores, you can only get decent shoes from €200+, entry-level brands like Lloyd etc.

+1. Even if you go sub-1880, at least you're getting a goodyear welted sole which you can replace.
