You also asked this about GD. But restaurants like this change the menu so often that there's not likely to be anything there to recommend.

Agree with Matt, though, it is great.

great place. have known cal stamenov since he worked for michel richard back in the early 90s. really good cook. place like that, just put yourself in their hands and have them do a menu. they've got a good wine guy, too ... blanking on his name but he used to be at the highlands inn when it was good.

I was there for a corporate event a few years ago. We took over the whole restaurant. Cocktails first out on the croquet field then into the restaurant.

Course after course was paired with wine. It was all very well thought out but not a lot of the diners gave damn and as the wine flowed, the place got louder and louder.

With every pairing, the somm gave a little explanatory speech. The first couple of times people listened, or tried to, respectfully. Then they got grumbly and talked over him. By the end there was a near riot and he was shouted down. I felt bad for him but it was funny.

I agree he is a good somm. My father's best friend lives right around the corner and I've gone there many times with him bringing some fabulous bottle. He always gives the somm a big taste and the somm has lots of interesting things to say. He typically comps us a taste of some unusual thing as a thank you.
