Socal said it best, this place would turn into mindless drones drooling over fashion if it weren't for people like why. How else can we judge the reception of a collection if all there is is praise? I can understand being against pointless trolling, but he did not do such things.

Xeno, STFU. I am tired of you. There is something really grating about your posts. Also, (and this is from another thread) don't go about telling Brian how to act on the forum. Brian is the moderator of this specific forum, and you respect him on it. If you have a problem with him, you take it up in PM, or not at all.

You mean asked to elaborate? I'll explain myself when someone generally gives a **** and wants to hear me out. For the purpose of brevity I think people often make quick summations like I did -- heck, multiple people in this thread did let alone the number of one-line comments in the other designer threads. If someone's reason for asking me to explain myself is simply to try and poke holes in my opinion or if it's some sort of challenge to see of I know what I'm talking about I really have to ask 'Who cares?' I honestly never thought people would get so upset about clothing as I often see on this forum. People are allowed to give praise with absolutely no reasoning for it, but the minute there's a criticism the panties bunch up and the drooling fans and circlejerkers all line up to bukkake all over it. I think my criticisms are pretty well-founded and I'm certain there's a large portion of people out there who are too young and/or too ignorant of different generations to know where the influences for this collection came from. How many people know what permanent pressed slacks are? How many people recognized this as a spin on the 70's? Considering the average age both chronologically and otherwise I doubt very many. In short: it's my opinion, take it or leave it. If you genuinely want me to post more about why I like or dislike something I'll oblige, but I'm not long-winded or bored enough to post multiple paragraphs for every opinion I have all the time.

Why, this and other fashion fora are for hobbyists. So, yes, if you are going to post a negative comment, you are generally expected to give a little more elaboration than if you are posting a positive comment. It's not asking too much of you to expect a sentence or two of explanation on why you dislike a particular designer or specific collection. I think that people can appreciate a difference of opinion. However, posts like your first post in this thread contributes nothing to it but a lot of annoying static. I think that you are a bright guy and understand what I am trying to say, so let's leave it at that.

I disagree, I thought his point on the collections inspiraion was notable. Obvously the majority he didn't post in this thread 50 times to expound upon that theory in grandious detail

On Topic: I'm not sure why people claim that MM stuff is borin and ordinary. I do not frequently meet people who look at all like they wear MMM. However the stuff looks exceptionally good without being rediculous on most people. I think it makes people stand out just enough.

Xeno seriously the best option for you would be a) grow the **** up, b) take a break from the forum and go do something that involves social interaction or c) make a new username and change your posting style. Your an idiot, but even if your posts weren't idiotic people would assume they are from your current reputation.

Why I think you usually have stuff to contribute and I think fok understands this the issue is the way you contribute, sometimes it seems like you are being negative just for the sake of it, or baiting people into arguments. If you dont like something you should try to atleast give a small reason why otherwise it does come across as you *****-whining about everything.

now back to MMM...

If you're an xl in boo and the 52 in the 5 zip fits you then that would pretty much be your size across the board. Since I'm an L in margiela and band I'd say you're an XL in the knits.
