the chalk joggers are whats up. Very lightweight. I rock em with the lemaire/sunspel tank from a while back + a light overshirt all the time.

Do any of you size down on the pants as well?
I’ve always bought Large, and the waist always runs really big. But I’ve never actually tried going down to Medium.
Are the size charts on the Howell webstore typically correct?

Well it took close to a month but the chalk joggers just arrived and they're great. I almost sized down but glad I went TTS. Should be a good summer pant.

next up, MHL painters shirt or mainline oversized shirt?

MHL painters shirt is my favorite shirt style of hers. I own multiple in different fabrics. Love the relaxed cut and subtle details.

Also, in my experience the size charts are pretty reliable. I usually size down between mainline and MHL bottoms and tops but you should check the measurements as it's not universal.

@pinkchimneys You size down on the painters shirt too?
Howell website measurements look pretty big but other places look normal (End, Lost & Found etc).
So in general the Howell site is most accurate?

Just measured a couple of mine (previous seasons) and they range from 22-23” p2p for a size small. Definitely a relaxed cut, and oversized compared to mainline, but still quite sharp looking.

Do the MHL joggers fit TTS? Would love to see some pics of them in the wild if anyone’s got some.

@GeorgeC, I have the joggers in a variety of colors and fabrics from different seasons. They are probably my most worn pants.
I would recommend going true to size, if you normally wear a "medium" in pants that use such a sizing convention, go with a medium.
The joggers can be cinched down quite a bit using the drawstring waist. Doing so, i think, gives the pants a nice shape. The inseams run long, I always cuff mine up. never bothered to hem any of them.
measurements on the margaret howell site are accurate in my experience.

A shameless plug but I'm selling a mainline suitcoat in size 50 in the B&S. If anyone is interested, feel free to DM if you have any questions.

@GeorgeC same as NOMERCY said, they are probably my most worn pants. I've had a really deep navy pair for 2 years and they've faded super nicely. I had mine hemmed and I cuff them sometimes just depending on how long I want the hem to hit. Buy your TTS.

Here's a recent photo of my pair
