If anyone is interested in these trousers:

I have them new with tag size medium that just doesn't seem to work for me unfortunately. Will let them go of course for much less than the reg. price.

Looking to get the endurance jacket that was talked about in the last couple of pages but I've never handled Barbour jackets or Ventile cotton. Currently, I'm debating between going for the collab vs. just picking up some other model from Barbour. I like the look on both so I think the fabric performance will be the deciding factor. Plus, I might have irrationally avoided the usual Barbour jackets because of the #menswear era...

Anyone have opinions on the water resistance compared to a regular waxed cotton Barbour? I live in a pretty rainy city and use my Arcteryx shell if its pouring but have been looking for a less technical-looking jacket that can also handle some rain.

Waxed stuff always creeps me out but it's definitely more water resistant than ventile.
I personally love ventile but if you are going to be in sustained rain it will soak through, and even in 10 mins of rain it's going to be real wet. Ventile needs to get wet before the fibers expand and block out the water, waxed fabric will start beading the water off straight away.

I’ve worn it in the rain a bunch and it never really has soaked through for me. I’ve never handled a wax coat before, but the endurance jacket is instantly comfortable from the moment you put it on. It’s really nice fabric.

Thanks guys. I did some digging and read about how heavy waxed cotton is and that it can get a bit of a funk. Think I’ll go with the MHL jacket and just use my other shell if it’s pouring.

New S/S 23 dropped today. I really like the look of the drawcord trousers. That shirt doesn't look too shabby either.

Yeah, very exciting as always. I bought the saddle crew in moss. Excited to receive it! Really like that shirt and the brown colour of those trousers. Glad to see the cropped trousers again. Looking forward to the look book soon!

can I ask what didn’t really work?
Is it the shoulders or the neckline?

I like that colour, I know a lot of people hated it, but the dropped shoulder and thick neck stopped me from trying it.

I got a pair of the striped wool cropped trousers last week and they don’t really work for me either so I’m returning them. The fabric is really nice, airy, the cut is good, but I think the combination of the light wool and very cropped leg just make it sit sort of awkwardly on me but I imagine the cottons will work a lot better so I’m happy they’ve already come back.

Actually, it’s absolutely lovely and I’ll probably end up keeping it if no one is interested, but the colour is too similar to a couple of ones I already have. But, the fit is great and it’s super comfortable. I thought it would work, but I just kept grabbing the other saddle crew knits I already got.

I think they did the same knit for this spring summer so excited to see what colour and fabric.

Shame the wool cropped trousers didn’t work out for you. I got the black and navy and love them both. I wanted the pinstripe too, but not enough in the budget. The new putty colour one looks nice too!

Out of curiosity, how do you know a lot of people hated that colour? I agree, I think it looks lovely.

I saw this post on Instagram a few weeks ago of a preview of the upcoming collections in Japan. Noticed that they’re doing a 20th-anniversary collection for the Edwin collaborations. Not much of that seems to be released outside of Japan, wonder if they’ll do anything this season though. Tried the Canton Worker jeans but didn’t really suit me, used to have a pair of the Edwin jeans and some of the chinos and thought they were nice.

thid is the washed wax cotton military mac from last winter. I was really excited for it and I think it looks alright in this pic but ultimately had to send it back because the shoulders and sleeves fit awkwardly and twisted a lot. The A shape is really pronounced as well irl but I don’t mind that.
Bonus content is pants are the dark khaki single pleats which are great. Really thick, sturdy cotton that should be great once worn in. I need to hem them as usual. Also a cotton/linen mainline beanie from a while back.
