Masterclass in subtlety, as usual rich but muted colors and soft volumes elevate what would've been a generic effort in lesser hands.

For me this sums up Howell perfectly. I think i probably say it every year, but this is one of my favourite seasons in a while. Some of the women's is incredible. She seems to come to alive especially in autumn / winter.

always seen her name floating around SF. Is her stuff made in the UK? What is the quality comparable to??

her materials are really good, particularly the heavy winter ones. IMO quality is better than EG, probably on a level with Cabourn; she seems to use a lot of proprietary fabrics. My only problem with her stuff is the fit, which as you can see from the pictures is by no means slim. If you're into that silhouette, though, it's fantastic.
I also agree the womens' stuff looks amazing, particularly on tall slim women with good bone structure; in fact i gave my boiled wool blazer to a friend because it looked so much better on her than it did on me

I get some Yohji vibes from the Women's collection but at the same time it remains relevant to the British heritage/workwear angle, definitely blows the men's collection out of the water but that's pretty much always the case.

This season is absolutely outstanding and the pieces in real life are exquisitely soft, thick and wonderful. The cotton/cashmere shirts are amazing.

I picked up the black moleskin trousers already. Very thick and heavy, very soft, very comfortable.

Tempted to go for some of the knitwear too.

Pity this MHL textured knit is sold out in charcoal - such a great look.

Easy to find here in Tokyo and looks very nice IRL. However, I agree with sipang that the women's line seems to have just that little bit more magic in it.

So good, most inspiring collection of the season.
