I received a prompt reply from them using the contact form on their website. However the reply received was just after I managed to find the sale section still live via my browsing history and place an order that way. Good customer service so thought it was worth mentioning. Thanks everyone for the info as well.

MH has fantastic customer service, agreed.

Stopped by the MH store in London today so I was able to try a lot of different items from FW14 and really figure out the sizing. I'm an XS in the classic shirt cut and the macintosh raincoats, a S in the suit jackets and trousers, and M in the knits.

I'm pretty much a M across the board in most brands, and a 50 in RO leather and DVN suits. First brand I've ever worn a XS in anything. Hope that helps some ppl. I ended up purchasing one knit, and will have my eye on several other things for later.

I purchased a pair of the linen trousers from SS14. Do you have a link to the item?

The waist measurements are not correct on the MH website.

Does anyone have any experience with MH trousers? Are the trousers with numbered sizes the true waist measurement? I am considering buying from a site that has not measurements.

the only sizing I've come across is euro sizing on mainline pieces and S M L etc. on MHL. With both there has been variation between different pieces.

I would ask the site to measure the trousers before you buy because there is inconsistency between styles.

I wear a 34 and usually take a size M/ Medium but recently I've had to buy the Large to get a 34.

Thanks, guys. It's Barney's Warehouse, so I doubt they'll give me any measurements. I'm not totally into the trousers, so it's ok. There is a fair amount of decent stuff up there if anyone is interested.

Barneys have the actual size listed for their descriptions - they don't use M/L/XL etc.

    No returns though.

I've been considering a rollneck from Margaret Howell this season. I, of course, like the hand frame roll neck in merino wool.

But am considering the MHL version in raw merino. I think it has a little more of a utilitarian feel, which I like.

I hadn't seen it styled very well at all until browsing the Other Shop's site:

Well, just went with the MHL version. Other Shop seems like a great shop. It was my first purchase from them.

Is the FW stuff not in yet for NA stores? None of the places I bookmarked - gravitypope, unionmade, creatures of comfort, la garconne, working title - has new stock.

I have ordered a couple of items from barneyswarehouse in the past with no problems but just recieved a pair of trousers which were described as a size 34 and are clearly a size 32. Infuriating – how on earth do they think I'd get them on? Gutted, very nice pair of trousers.

Let's see how their customer services is. I expect to return them later this week.

Attached is a photo, if you wear a size 32 and are interested drop me a PM,

They are grey/black gross grain 100% wool. Made in Portugal.

I have added more info into the marketplace.

Barneys are picking these up tomorrow - full refund.

I know not everyone likes MHL but the shetland jumper from this season is seriously great, especially at sub $200. The details, fit, fabric, everything seems spot on.

I hadn't really looked at them, but they do look good, and at £125 they are great value. Most sizes are sold out now on the site.

I quite liked the look of the MHL Heavy Tweed Donegal Wool Jumper – but when I saw it in person it didn't really work.

I like both for different purposes. My MH knits are exquisite, and my MHL knit (raw merino rollneck) is super utilitarian with a nice slouchy fit.
