They sold for $20 and they look kinda... yeah. So I'd put my money on them being fakes

Yeah. My friend got them for that price. I felt the material and it seemed really soft... almost like fine wool or something. I've searched on google aswell and haven't seen a pair like it. Seems kinda sus.

Can you see the chainstitch or selvedge on the inside of the jeans?

I haven't checked, but good idea. If they are, would this mean that they're authentic?

Actualy, if you see either then it's a tell-tale sign that they'e fakes.

They're most likely real, but they are from the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection, not the mainline, and the retail is about $150, not $600.

These look very much like a pair I purchased 6 months ago at a Barney's Outlet. i think I paid around $70 and the list price may have been around $175. I'm holding the jeans up right now and comparing them to your pictures. The cut looks identical. The fabric in your photos looks a little more "acid-wash" (for lack of a better term), but I can tell you that I love my pair. The denim is from Poland and it just gets more and more soft over time. One of my favorite pairs of jeans.
