Many women shopping in men's department area?

I saw many housewives and young women shopping in men's department area? Why is that? They're many fat women shopping in men's clothing and pick up men's under wear too. I thought, it was weird thing. Unless, it was gift to husband or boyfriend. Because, they're fashionable than the mens.
