What store can I walk into in midtown to pick up some relatively cheap silk knots?

Everyone sells knots, I imagine: BB, PS, Thomas Pink, etc. Probably even J. Crew, which might be cheaper. Other threads have debated whose knots last longer, that is which brands retain their elasticity and stay knotted. I wear them infrequently, so I can't tell the difference. If you have a little more time and can't choose just one or two colors, you might get this STP special -- 15 pair for 50 bux. They don't get much cheaper, and you'll never want for knots again. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/8...s-For-Men.html

How much was that Chinese retailer on eBay selling them for?

The *********** was selling them for about the STP price, as I recall. Only advantage was your own choice of a slightly larger color selection.

Quality difference unknown. The STPs might be from the same factory, for all we know.

Ah, found the eBay link
1 pair: $3.5 + $1 shipping = $4.5 2 pairs: $6.66 + $1.34 shipping = $8 3 pairs: $9.99 + $ 2 shipping = $11.99 For 4-9 pairs: Add $3.3 for each additional pair while shipping stays the same. For 10 pairs or up: $3/pair + shipping $3.47
STP is $3.33 plus shipping so I think I'm gonna with the Chinese dude.

I bought some from the chinese seller on eBay. Came relatively fast (a week I think), but had a pair basically fall apart after about 3 wearings! Annoying as I liked them, but at that price they are practically disposable.

If they fall apart after three wearings they ARE disposable. :)
