Hi guys I am looking in Manhattan for a pair of butterscotch color shoelaces 28". These are for dressy shoes. So far I have gone to the repair place underground at the 53rd. St. E/V station. I walked by the place in the Empire State bldg. and they had closed for the day. Suggestions? Thanks -

you could always go to John Lobb on Madison Avenue-- buy some laces, shoe cream, and shoe polish. I'm almost positive they will have the laces you want.

Weston! I've been trying to remember for more than a month now where I tried on a very pointy-toed blucher with a rose medallion. Thanks whoopee!

That rose medallion Weston is, indeed, lovely. It's a Weston "Special Edition". The SV bros. had a few pairs in their store last summer. I tried a few on in the Weston store in NYC, but, unfortunately, they were a tad too narrow for my feet.

I tried those shoes on (but as a wholecut medallion) and almost bought them in burgundy. Very idiosyncratic fit but beautiful - but my shopping companions didn't think so.

Did you find those purple shoe lace yet, from the other thread?

Some of my trainers take purple laces but sadly, for my leather shoes, none.
