Less than 5 years ago, at the Isaia SS @ 260, a suit was $900, sport jacket $750, and then there was buy 3 items get additional 20% off or something like that. What a time it was...

Best was a year or two ago, the eidos tags were all entered as ties in the inventory so they all rang up to $25 with a few exceptions. Bought out everything my size.

The one Isaia sample sale I didn't go to opening day pre-covid was the year Antonio left the brand. I figured I didn't really need anything and was busy at work so I skipped.

Ended up popping in on the last day and they had a rack of Antonio-era Eidos suiting/blazers for $50 each, buy 3 get one free. It was picked over and barely anything was left in my size, but I got everything that was.

Isaia denim was also going for $50 that round. I miss those days.

It's what you'd expect, basically a flat 75% off retail for everything.

Small selection of jackets/blazers in odd sizes, larger selection in 48/50. Didn't see any suits.

Large selection of jeans. Might recommend waiting a a few days to see if they cut prices though.
Were you able to pick up anything nice, or you're waiting for prices to hopefully come down over the weekend?

Zegna sample sale is starting today. Not sure what the discount is but unless you really want something I’d wait. Discounts usually get progressively steeper and if there’s a lot of inventory left, they even reach 90% off by Sunday. Given zegna’s recent popularity not sure how high the discounts will go but definitely worth a check by the weekend.

What do you mean by recent popularity? And yes, if you can find Zegna Couture pieces for 90% off, please proxy!

Yep, it usually drops to 90% on the last day. But that's from a starting retail price of $6-11k lol so don't get too excited.

Last couple years or so, Zegna’s exploded in popularity along with Loro and the other so-called “Stealth Wealth” brands. Triple stitch sneakers are a pretty common sight along with summer walks. Also reflected in their large price hikes and consolidation of labels.
