One could say I'm biased, but I was really unimpressed with the Saks knits. They were thin, almost flimsy, and the colors were dull.

Agreed. I did grab a couple of the silk/wool blends they had strewn about. One brown with white pindots and one purple with green pindots.

I liked one Charvet knits more. But at $130, even with additional 50% off, I couldn't justify the added expense.

Walked by it on my way to work and saw that. I might pop in for a bit when I go to grab my lunch.

My take at 5th avenue saks today at noon -

    1) Not that many customers (mens) - nice to be able to walk around without too many people

    2) If you are Small or XL, (or xxl) there is plenty of stuff available for you. If you are med/Large... not as easy.

I swear they don't sell Etro at Saks on 5th Ave.

I'd love to be proven wrong though.

I have a pair of etro linen pants here I bought at saks on 5th avenue today. It was "mixed in" as said above. It may have been thrown in from another store or something? It seemed out of place and was shoved on the end of one of those long racks placed in the aisles. (msrp 380, down to $70 or so).

Now and then they randomly sprinkle in the shirts here and there.

Any hints as to the sprinkling? Haven't yet had the patience to comb through those sale racks yet.

Lol, I should be paid to pick up things for people. I previously purchased four of them there (returned them due to sizing) and just picked up one yesterday for $50. At this point they are sprinkled though. To be honest they are pretty much all over the fucking place. I just have a lot of patience. Just sift through all of the 50% racks. They used to all be in the bin (and now rack) that is ironically located near the non-discounted etro shirt wall. But now they seem more spread out.

Yeah they do sell Etro at Saks, there is always a bunch on markdown on the "payless" racks in the middle of the isle. I picked up a beautiful pair of paisley pants for like 80 bucks over the summer.

At BG the markdown is 40% currently on most of the Etro. So the shirts are still in the mid 100s to high 200s. Word is that they are going to 70% on most markdowns very soon. They have begun across the street, but have not announced it yet.
