Saks sale continues at 70% off. New merchandise was definitely on the floor today.

I picked up 3 more Kiton shirts for $125/each, 3 Drake's grenadine ties for Spano for $40/each and an Isaia khaki gab suit for $600.

They were also putting out gobs of Talbott 7 fold ties for $75, down from $245.

Yes after speaking with an associate they are doing alot of transfers from other stores.

+1. This sale is fantabulous. I picked up Saks knit ties $25 (originally $75). There was a 9.5 Kiton grain calf chukka 50% off $1885 (originally $2000+). Edward Green is 30% off.

Paul Stuart seems to have started it's winter sale early this year. Usually it starts on Dec 26th but I was there this past Friday and was surprised to find loads of stuff on sale, from socks, to slacks, to Cooper collar shirts, to fedoras. A salesman told me they decided to follow the crowd of other stores and have their post-Christmas sale early this year.

I picked up a saks knit and found a diamond in the rough, Etro knit, orig $225, marked down to $50, then 50% off... amazing.

I was actually really impressed by the normal Saks branded ties. The weight, silk and construction all looked and felt very high quality.

Picked up Etro shirt ($50), cornelli ($56), 2 Brioni's ($90), Ferragamo ($40) in the last few days.

One could say I'm biased, but I was really unimpressed with the Saks knits. They were thin, almost flimsy, and the colors were dull.
