I picked up a few things which are up in B&S, including a few Barrett coats:

The cashmere sportcoats were more expensive than suits! - $699.

And many of them were ltd. I did see one mainline HF wool/cashmere in my size that looked great, but it was cut like a long, and just looked awful.

Maybe I missed it, but where is the Hickey Freeman sale? At the 5th Ave. store? Thanks.

I think it's a good sale this time. Lots of mainline suits in my size, now 3 for $1300. Ties are 5 for $100, sportcoats are $200, the nice sport shirts are 3 for $75. Dress shirts are 5 for $225, I think.

I picked up a nice herringbone Storm System fall coat for $250, from $1250. The outerwear is all 50% off the lowest marked price.

I think they learned their lesson from prior sales.

What's the price on 1 suit?

I think it's $500 for one, 1300 for three. The Hand Tailored line (I didn't see any but didn't look too hard) are $1,000.

I was at today's sale too. I would have picked up suits, but I just had two made (one at Gino, the other at Mohan). I did pick up an overcoat and some ties.

I don't think its a matter of "learning a lesson" from prior sales. Its a tighter economy, and people are less inclined to spend, so the discounts have to be steeper to loosen the purse-strings.

Lots of suits in 42R, 44R.
Larger sizes, not so much.

Sport shirts were nice.
As time goes by, prices go down, but not much more stock goes onto the floor.
