I'm not 100% on the prices for ties and scarves, but sure of the rest.

Any chance prices will be reduced each day?

I don't think they do that anymore, but if they do it will be on the last day.

It might be a madhouse now, but I dropped by there yesterday and it was surprisingly civilized. I waited about 5-10 minutes on the line outside, and there was no line at checkout. I picked up a scarf for my wife (a dotted imprint of Josephine Baker dancing onstage in Paris, circa 1920s), and a tie for myself. Scarves were $225, ties were $100. They also have a very lovely pair of Lobbs in a very light brown (not exactly british tan) austerity brogue in 11.5. The price written on the box was $619, but I'm not sure if the 40% markdown on shoes took the price down to $619 or was another 40% off.

I went yesterday hoping to pick up a few ties, but left immediately because of the line...my lunch break isn't that long =\\

    Interesting.
    What time did you go?

I left work at around 2 p.m. and took the 1 train from 50th down to 18th. The wait/ride couldnt have been more than 5-10 minutes, so I'm guessing I was in line at around 2:15 p.m.

The security guard actually said the lines were usually shortest in the morning after 9 a.m.

Loro Piana sale disappointing, price wise. Trousers 80% off (from $330)--smaller sizes looked better (32, 34); sweaters and knitwear 60% off original ridiculous prices, outerwear 70% off, shirts 70% off (of $300 or so).

I don't get the Loro Piana sale at SH. I went on Thursday and it was like 50-60% off. Doesn't it go down that deep in the boutiques?

Hermes sale was disappointing. Went last PM and ties were $102 but the ones I prefered were the thick non-whimsical silks for ~$117. Was better a few years ago at the French Institute, ties were about $80. Now that El Guapo got me into knit ties, Hermes ties just ain't so cool no more. Best part of the sale were the attractive women in line.
