Making vinegar

    Have a good amount of experience with it. I don't think it is worth doing for the vinegar, but if you want to do a little experiment with one of your kids...

    I suppose because you can buy better vinegar than you can -- possibly ever -- make in your home for not much money. Edmond Fallot and so on. It's not worth the effort if your sole aim is to produce better vinegar than you already have access to. The only sane reason to do it is for the sake of doing it, not for the result.

    I've been making vinegar for over two years now in an olive oil urn.

    The homemade vinegar beats anything I've ever tasted, and it's my own little personal "pop art" because I've only been using bottles that are at wholesale $100 or more. Yes, they've already been opened and tasted like wine is supposed to be. I got the "vinegar mother" from someone who got it from someone . . .
