Making Low Vamp Loafers Fit Better?

Has anybody had success making low vamp loafers more comfortable?

I have a pair with a very low instep. I think this is causing the discomfort in one of my feet. One foot is fine. One foot, my big toe is rubbing against the end.

I was thinking that maybe, with a bit more arch support, my foot would "curl" or arch, effectively shortening my foot in the loafer and the toe would no longer rub at the end.

Does this make sense?

no. Trying to force an arch would only end up giving you some type of foot dysfunction.

I’m not sure there’s a solution. Is it rubbing or is it too tight?

Just the toe is rubbing and the heel a bit. If I roll my foot outward while walking it feels fine.
