I have two pairs (not a monk, but an oxblood oxford and a brown derby) and they are blake. I picked them up at deep discount and think they're decent for the price. I especially like the shape/design which are simple, but not dull or boring.

I picked up this exact shoe just about a month ago. I am not an expert by any means, but I do know it is not goodyear welted. I verified it with my cobbler when I picked them and a few others up from getting skid protectors on the sole.
I don't own any dress shoes that I haven't put those on. Even scuffed up, I would still slide around the hospital floor too much.

I had a pair of Magnanni double monks a few years back, the ones with the infamous "frankenstitch"... and yes they're blake stitched afaik. BTW, the ones I bought had cracks on the leather after a few months, and its not because I didn't care for them.
