I've read past posts concerning Magli and the praise has been tepid. Nevertheless, the look of this boot appeals to me:

I'm sure, however, you'll be quick to disparage the quality. I would imagine the Crockett and Jones Chelsea ankle boots are of far better quality, and virtually the same price. But this looks appeals to me slightly more

Then go with it. I've got some Maglis and they're great shoes. They might not last 80 years but I probably won't either.

I believe that particular style is called a jodhpur boot, and C&J have one called the 'Cottesmore' that looks quite similar. It is handgrade though, so costs a bit more than the Magli.
