  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

I've read past posts concerning Magli and the praise has been tepid. Nevertheless, the look of this boot appeals to me:

I'm sure, however, you'll be quick to disparage the quality. I would imagine the Crockett and Jones Chelsea ankle boots are of far better quality, and virtually the same price. But this looks appeals to me slightly more

Then go with it. I've got some Maglis and they're great shoes. They might not last 80 years but I probably won't either.

I believe that particular style is called a jodhpur boot, and C&J have one called the 'Cottesmore' that looks quite similar. It is handgrade though, so costs a bit more than the Magli.
