I'm trying to get ideas. I've seen plenty of websites but it would be nice to get some magazines (even catalogs - other than Design w/in Reach) with pics of rooms furnished with contemporary Italian / European furniture. I don't find country / traditional furniture very interesting.

Thanks in advance.

the best website to see rooms done up well is www.cappellini.it the two good magazines that are sort of available are abitare and interni.

why european?

my family used to have a friend that was an architect and he made us some very ultrasupermodern furniture that will still look hip 50 years from now. he was a gringo from l.a.

It's not a magazine but a website, however I always liked Poltrona Frau furniture: http://www.poltronafrau.it/

I think I know what kind of look you're after. Try Dwell - http://www.dwell.com/. The content leans a bit more towards architecture, but you'll no doubt find quite a few ideas here. I've been a subscriber since I bought my house a few months ago.
