Dan is the kind of guy who has a painful wincing orgasm face when he blows his load after two thrusts.

I don't see why it matters how Dan pays for college or his clothes. Everyone's background is different and we ultimately know very little about him. I suppose you could argue that he made his financial means fair game by mentioning his scholarship, buying habits, and the price of his clothing, but it's a contest over how well he dresses, not his character.

As for his style: clearly, it is not my own preference. Two people who care about the way they dress enough to enter a national contest don't diverge so significantly by accident. But regardless of how I might critique his style, it is patently obvious that he has a good taste for colors and patterns. That's not so easy to learn, in my opinion, and he handily exceeds the forum average in that respect.

In short: I'll wait to ***** about him after he wins.

^^But you don't really want to be on the Today Show do you? They might ask you what firm you work for. And how are you going to respond to that?

If asked, I'll be vague. It works for everyone else on TV, why not me?

Dewey, Cheatum & Howe. Dunning, Sponget & Leach. Wringer, Fleasom & Tick. You have a lot of creative options if asked to name a firm. Don't let us all down by punting.

However, if I didn't, I would just be going with my gut reaction above and nothing else. In a way, Dan's GQ-cookie-cutter approach shows him to be more versatile, and the last added basketball picture kind of gives of a relate-able vibe as in "Hey this guy is young, his parents didn't pay for all his college, he made a lot of his own money through an E-bay business, and he's a smart shopper by buying sales items!" It makes him strangely, much more approachable and easy to aspire to (Hey, I can do to that too! kind of attitude). While Mafoo on the other hand gives off a "I'm a rich New York Lawyer and I fly to Naples, Italy to get my suits made, because my wardrobe is custom." I'm not saying I believe those views myself, but that a LOT of readers and people who vote probably do share that view (in contrast to the SF "Dan's a douchebag" view).

Brooks, Alden & Rubinacci LLP

Sounds like they could be on TV.

This is a very reasonable and convincing analysis. I didn't say I'm likely to win

Neither did I, but I think everyone agrees that the contest is a joke, a magazines excuse to pump out advertisements. Honestly, only you and Dan should have made the top 25... the other three in the top 5? Really? Best Dressed Man in America?

Either way, congrats on making it so far. Honestly.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom? They all are odd if not ethnic names.

How about Knoll Matuozzo?

Or Foyer & Foyer? I find this one apropos.

. . . .

I was mistaken.

Am I the only one who's sick to death of the word "douchebag"?

It was always unpleasant, but now it's uncreative to boot.

I just assumed he always wore a suit, or sportcoat.
