Made to measure ties

Hi,

My trousers are especially high-waisted (I'm 174 cm tall) and I'm a very slim guy. Therefore I'm looking for ties that are 7cm wide and ~130cm long. Especially looking for solid grenadine Garza Grossa, "crunchy" knit ties (cri de la soi) and shantung. As well as ancient madder Macclesfield, regimentals and paisleys in terms of pattern.
I've emailed Sam Hober's in hope that this could be optional with him.
I used to take mine to an altering tailor, yet this seems to be irrelevant in terms of knit ties, it would ruin Pini Parma's hand-rolled hems and I'm afraid that the drape might get damaged due to the altering.
Any suggestions on quality ties with reasonable prices (~90$) that have such a made to measure option? :)

I don't know if any maker that offers MTM knit ties. Unlike regular ties, knit ties are made on a machine and manufacturers require wholesale minimums. So while they can knit them to any length and width, they usually only provide them to stores in bulk.

Regarding custom ties, try Sam Hober (as you noted) and Vanda Fine Clothing. Chipp Neckwear in New York City also takes custom orders, although they don't state it on their website. Just email them to ask. I think the surcharge is something like $5 from their regular price. All three can make things in any length or width you want.

Probably not too helpful as they're in the UK, but 40 Colori in London will do MTO/MTM knit ties.

Thanks! I've written to both of them and to poszetka as well. Sam Hober said he can make such, I'll let you know when the rest will reply.

Hi,

An update - Chipp neckwear and Vanda Fine Clothing can shorten ties but cannot change their width to below 3.125".
40 colori, Poszetka and Sam Hober can adjust both their ties width and length.
I'm currently checking with Wilmok as well.
Which one of the three listed above do you guys recommend the most in terms of grenadine, shantung and ancient madder ties?

An update for the sake of those scrolling around on the internet.
Wilmok can make Made to measure ties, as well as Howard's. Shibumi also have the option of bespoke ties, however, I find them to be more pricey than the rest of the options (shipping wise as well) and to have fabric options that I'm less fond of.
I ended up buying from 40 colori, Poszetka and Sam Hober eventually.
