My work is fairly casual, yet occasionally the need arises for suit and tie. Majority of the time it is dress-shirts and pants.

Due to my size (6'4 and about 250 lbs) and life-style (active) I tend to go through my clothes quickly. As a result of these 2 factors, I have held off on buying a MTM suit (minimal need for jacket, pants go within 2 years).

Any advice on whether or not to get MTM pants-only? And if so, what material? Make? etc...

I have always understood the jacket to be about 90% of the true workmanship anyways. Thanks

Go to mytailor.com and see whether they come to your city. They'll make perfect fitting pants for you for $200 - $300. It's a lot, but the fit is worth it, and you're paying for fit, not branding. You'll find all kinds of woolens and linens.
