Made to measure goatskin jacket/blazer?

Hi, I'm very slim and I really want a simple, elegant non-shiny leather jacket/blazer that fits me perfectly, which just doesn't seem to happen when I try one on. I've googled made to measure leather jackets and there seems to be lots, ranging from about £500 to £2000.

Basically, I want a jacket like the suede one attached (courtesy John Varvatos, I like the jacket not the model/photography), but in more practical goatskin, which is attached as a detail (courtesy of All Saints).

Is the goatskin detail attached an extremely ''distressed'' effect or is that fairly natural? I've seen goatskin much shinier than that on Google.. I much prefer the matt look. I'm assuming goatskin is far more durable and low maintenance compared to suede.

Any ideas/recommendations? £2k is way too much for me, £500 is a massive luxury but I feel like it's a worthwhile investment. But is it possible to get good tailoring for that kind of money in the UK? I got a suit made in India recently (first time I went tailor made) for a third of what it would have been in London and wow, the fit is astonishing! Hence the sudden interest in a tailored leather jacket/blazer...

I'd say those are both suede / nubuck. Grain leather can be matte or shiny depending on the house and how it's treated. Personally, I think a suede blazer is going to be way, way easier to wear than a leather one.

Maybe a dumb question, but have you asked the tailor who made your suit if they work with leather? Alternatively, you could probably get one made by Luxire (also based in India; they have an affiliate thread on the Classic Menswear side of the forum). I'm not sure whether they source any goat hides, though.

Great info, thanks! Yes I agree now you've said it, suede will be easier to wear than leather, and I want that casual matt feel that I guess will happen after the suede acquires a lived-in patina. I've found this guy, who comes to London once a month, and says he'll do a blazer similar to the one above for £550, I just need to choose the material (and have him verify that's it's workable for the job)... all of his jackets look a bit oversized to me, but I guess if I give him my perfect fitting suit jacket to work from, it'll come out nice and sharp? https://www.martinpryceleather.co.uk/collections/sheepskin-collection

Those look awkward and ill-fitting. It's possible he could do something better with your existing jacket as an example, but I don't think I'd be excited about buying from that guy.
