Rick looked rather bemused.

That was awesome. I wonder how Rick feels that this is his claim to fame/legacy. Seems like he's a good sport about it.

[edit] Found this on Wikipedia:
In a March 2008 interview, Astley said that he found the Rickrolling of Scientology to be "hilarious"; he also said that he will not try to capitalize on the Rickroll phenomenon with a new recording or remix of his own, but that he'd be happy to have other artists remix it. Overall, Astley is fine with the phenomenon, stating that he finds it "bizarre and funny" and that his only concern is that his "daughter doesn't get embarrassed about it."[48] A spokesperson for Astley's record label released a comment which showed that Astley's interest with the phenomenon had faded, as they stated "I'm sorry, but he's done talking about Rickrolling."[4]

If I were Rick, I'd think it's pretty awesome.

Funny. I like how the little puppet on the roof was dancing. That was the best part.

It was awesome. I had to explain RickRolling to my Dad for the next 10 minutes. We came to the conclusion that my father enjoys crappy music.

He did a series of concerts here in SE Asia few months back- was a full house here in the Philippines. I remember seeing him interviewed and he said he was pleasantly surprised with the RickRolling phenomenon. It practically revived his career.

NBC fucked it up, though. At the beginning of the parade, they announced Rick Astley as one of the performers. They kind of gave the joke away.
