Anyone been to Macau recently that can recommend a resort-y hotel? I am thinking about the Venetian or MGM.

Yea, we were planning a few days in HK and a few in Macau. Figure I can get some Jantzen shirts, Dim Sum, some roast goose, take the little monster to Disneyland and a Cirque du Soleil show...all in a week.

But how to avoid Swine Flu is the big question. Hope you are feeling better.

Best food on the planet. The coolest hotel there was taken over by the Portuguese to use as their post-colonial embassy. Everyone talks highly of the Mandarin.

Westin is on the farthest island, away from the more livelier parts, but close to Fernando's on Hac Sa beach.

I stayed at the Venetian back in December. Needless to say, it was very nice but it can be quite crowded even after taking its size into consideration. As an aside, Cirque du Soleil was quite disappointing.

The Four Seasons may be another option.

Apparently, you don't stay in hotels in Macau, but spend half that on staying the night at a Sauna...

I stayed at the Pousada de Sao Tiago. I wouldn't describe it as resort like but would recommend it to anyone not wanting to stay at one of the casinos.
