You may have seen the thread by the guy who had a huge rip in the back of his Mabitex trousers. His is not an isolated incident. I have had 3 Mabitex trousers rip down the back. Trousers of the correct size. So just a heads up. Don't buy that trash.

You're welcome.

Old Mabitex is fine. It's just the recent SS batch.

I've had it too; cost me $4 to fix. Maybe continue to buy them and check the seat seam before going out of the house?

I think this is a little over-zealous there OP... a line of stitching ripped (even 3 times) and you make a PSA for nobody to buy the brand (also screwing half the B&S posters)?

I own 15 pairs. One pair had a seam problem, on the side. You just got unlucky.

I've got a half dozen pairs with no problems. One even survived a slip and fall on ice this winter; no torn seams.

Truth hurts. Better to screw the B&S posters than have some poor saps rip their trousers in public, a la spongebob. Three different pair, all three ordered from styleforum b&s, ripped on me. It's only right that I pass that news to the sf community.

Because I own several different brands of trousers and have only had this happen to the Mabitex that I purchased on Styleforum B&S.
