Hi all, Long time forum follower, first post. A few questions for the Australians. I've been a PJ customer for some time but am on the M.J. Bale database and received an email Thursday about their 'Samurai Suiting sessions' (detail below): 'A reminder that M.J. Bale’s Samurai Suiting sessions, hosted by Kaneko (our Japanese master tailor who they say is blessed by the tailoring gods), Matt Jensen and Paolo Michelini (Torino-born custom suiting expert) are taking place on August 31 Queen Street (Woollahra) store and September 1 (Westfield Sydney store). The suits are hand-finished, fully canvassed, made from a variety of cloths (up to Super 180s) and selection of fabrics that have been spun at Italy’s best weavers in Biella. Each suit will feature a samurai logo carefully woven inside the garment to honour the occasion.' Sounds interesting as I'd been wanting to try the M.J. Bale MTM service for a while (I believe they call it 'Custom'). Now a few questions: - Has anyone tried M.J. Bale custom suiting? - If anyone has tried M.J. Bale MTM/Custom, how does it compare to PJ? - Any members made an appointment? - Would it be worth going to? Note this thread is intended to be about the MTM M,J, Bale service, not RTW (I've noticed these forums can get hi-jacked quite quickly). Thanks all. You guys are the experts.
