Lyle and Scott/American Eagle

If I were to buy some Lyle and Scott sweaters and polos, would I look like a desperate 30something trying to look cool in American Eagle? I ask as I like the fit and durability of L&S from my golfing days.

I ask because their respective logos are quite similar.

buy them wen they ask tell them there lyle and scott nt crappy amercan eagle they probly cost twice asmuch and are of a far better quality made in scotland in the same town as pringle (harwick) then tell them about all the kool indie bands from the uk that wear L&S like the kooks artic monkey ect ect

Sorry to redirect this old thread, but I recently received two v neck jumpers by Lyle & Scott made in Scotland in 100% virgin wool. I liked the colour and fit for casual Saturdays wear, however I cannot stand logos, especially on knitwear, but luckily L&S eagle is not embroidered directly on the wool but is separate, sew on piece. So I armed myself with a seam ripper and 5 minutes patiance, and done this:
