Fuuma mon ami summed it up, but of course I was meaning more a standalone men's collection, which is what LV has (produce on a runway, etc.) As for post-season, at least in Japan, they have LVMH family sales for employees and such. When she worked for Dior, one of my friends there picked me up some sandals/shoes and such very inexpensively.

This.

I tried on some of the menswear pieces in Tokyo a few years back; gorgeous wool coat... relatively simple construction and design... $9500. For that price, Karl Lagerfeld himself would have to drive it to my house and let me play with his ponytail.

ahh, I should know better than to question your fashion knowlege. Come to think of it, I don't know if I've seen a men's Chanel piece that wasn't adapted from a complimenting womens' style from the same season.

In the US, Chanel Soho and Jeffrey carry it in NY, and I've heard the store on Robertson Blvd. in LA carries it exclusively on the west coast.

Internationally, I know it's carried at the Rue Cambon flagship in Paris and stores in Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Ferragamo is Lardini, IIRC.

No worries; I think I wasn't clear in my initial response and so it was good that you clarified it for me.

As to what you mentioned... many, if not all, were simply those styles produced in men's sizes (46, 48, 50 IT.) They really weren't specifically "men's" stuff, though they were worn by men on the runway for one or two of the styles. I don't think they got any larger than that, though. I don't recall seeing a 52, but then again, it was in Tokyo, where the men all have 27 inch waists.

Suits, too? For some reason, I was thinking their suits/jackets were Belvest, but I could just be making that up. (Maybe it was Hermes that used Belvest?) I can't remember. I know Prada does/did, but there were some others as well. As for the rest of LV clothing (shirts, pants, etc.), I had no idea.

StefanoBi, IIRC, but each time I post these things, I realize that I've been a few years out of the loop with most of the major collections and so I might be wrong. Hopefully others will chime in if I'm in error or if the license is now held by others (lots of these brands switch around quite regularly).

I can actually testify to the fact that Chanel makes not only 52s, but even 54s

I have a shirt in the former and a (too big) cardigan in the latter.

I do know Prada is a mix of Zegna and Belvest...custom I know is Belvest.

That's because you didn't talk to Monique. You need to find Monique, who works at the Rodeo store Monday through Friday and is the only one aware of the mens line. She works in the back, so just ask any SA to speak with her. Tell her you'd like to see the Chanel menswear and emphasize that you're serious about buying at least two items, and then show her something you own by Chanel. She'll give you the key to the hallway across the street behind Panerai, which you can enter and if Tim gives you a hard time just tell him Monique sent you over. If you go down the back hallway the menswear is in a brown box on the floor somewhere in there. The quality is more than passable. Highly recommend.

There's no greasing of palms involved? Anyway, what happened with that Ferre suit of yours?

Thanks! Glad to know they actually make a variety of sizes. Like I said, I tried the stuff on in Tokyo, and half the time asking for pants in a size 30 or 32 gets a weird "Wow, are you an elephant?" sort of frown.

FTFY.

It is a well-known fact that many high school girls in Japan whore themselves to buy a LV bag.
