When I spoke about taste being lost I mean specifically the sales associates ability to help people find things that make sense. Plenty of the MTM shops are bad fitters. Push people to bad fabric choices.
Reminds me what the San Francisco Brooks Bros came to a few years before they closed. Staffed by young kids who were probably on work release ( i exaggerate
slightly). In contrast, a few blocks away the The trad "Hound" had salesman who were there for decades. Unfortunately they closed when the owner retired in his eighties.
