While I'm thinking about it, it seems like a lot of things are currently sold out and I had a few suggestions for new fabrics. It would be good to know if others are interested so we might recommend to @luxire

My thoughts
1. More moleskin (ideally dark green / dark olive, cream/off-white, any others?)
2. More needlecord shirting (Brisbane moss is nice but $150 for a shirt is pushing it for me): navy, dark green, terracotta are all good options
3. Washable (70/30) mid-grey flannel

Cheaper than dugdale cavalry twill or covert twill or whipcord.

For me it’d be darker green and dark brown.

There are very few suppliers for moleskin around. Our other source has dried up. We tried getting these made but no success so far.
That leaves us with Brisbane Moss as the best priced and best quality option. We are on it though.

Needlecords are in the works. Found some sources, working on them.

Any update on the VBC Cavalry Twills?

Anyone having difficulty accessing their old orders under the Account section? The pages just don't load for me, been a couple days now.

Just received my pressed Luxire Dugdale Fine Worsted Charcoal Plain suit from the March 2008 Jacket promotion and send the following to Luxire for feedback as we continue nailing down fit (some may remember my Luxire Light Navy Fresco from a few months back that I’m continuing to work with Luxire on). Natural shoulders, 3/2 roll notch lapel, full canvass upgrade

I welcome any feedback.

I feel like there’s a bit of a collar gap in the back, but my wife continues to tell me I’m crazy.

The jacket looks to fit well in the shoulders, upper chest, and back. Sleeves look good. I don’t see a collar gap in these photos but you should feel that the collar hugs the back of your neck. I would suggest that you lower the buttoning point and consider lengthening the jacket slightly. Your shouldn’t be able to see your tie below the jacket button this easily.

Trousers: not a tailor so I’m not sure what is going on exactly but the rear could use some work. The back rise could be shortened at bit at the waist to reduce the excess material below the waistband. But I think there is more to it than that.

Hope this is helpful.

I have made a first try with a lot room for improvement.

Will try to increase height and overall leg width as well as fixing the seat area.

Would try the following:

pants-waist : 16.75-0.5
pants-hips : 20.25+1
pants-front-rise : 11+0.75
pants-back-rise : 18.5+0.75
pants-outseam : 40.25
pants-inseam : 29.25
pants-thigh : 12+0.5
pants-knee : 8.75+0.5
pants-bottom : 7.75+0.5
Furthermore: Inseam at crotch needs to be decreased to give room in the seat area.

Do you think this could work?
Any suggestions?

Thx!

Received my first pair of non-trial trousers today in the form of this grey flannel. The weight of the fabric and the fact that it is wool really helps in how they drape versus the cotton.
The only adjustment I want to make is to decrease the back rise from the waistband by 0.75” while increasing the back rise from the crotch by 0.75” to compensate. That should remove (most of) the creasing on the back of the thigh and the clinging at the calf.
Is this indeed the right request to make to Luxire?

Also received my first ever shirt from Luxire which in my opinion is a big succes for a first version. While I have built a basic understanding of trouser fit and what adjustment has what effect I’m still clueless about shirts. Can anyone advise on what can be improved?
