And did you ever reach out to Luxire about it? Do you think it's attributed to varying patterns, or just poor quality control?

I did..........but did not make a huge deal out of it....just not worth the time.

Lux has been great if they make mistakes, .......but I have found its simply not worth the time dealing w/ a 1/4 inch or a wrinkle here and there......its part of the whole process.............and not really a deal breaker for me........but I dont like it.

its not varying patterns

Wanted to add one more data point here. I have had around 12 -15 shirts from luxire in last 3 years and I haven't seen shrinkage on them but I also just wash and line dry them instead of throwing in the dryer.
And, I have also noticed some difference in the fit (minor) but nothing major. Mostly I have seen the difference when going for really different weight fabric from 4-5 oz range (like heavier oxfords etc.).

I will try and explain:
When someone places an order with same measurements as his previous order, we pull out his old paper pattern, place it on the fabric and do the cutting. The tailoring margins are standard and tailoring processes are standard. There may be some slight difference in how each tailor's skills shape the garment but as most are trained to work with Luxire standards, have never seen anything major.

The differences we see are primarily fabric behavior. There can be a hundred different reasons for fabrics to appear/behave differently.

We have an amazing QA process. Each aspect of each garment is checked and recorded. There are no random sample checking. If we ship 5 shirts to a customer, all 5 of his shirts would be checked for each of the 15+ measurement points and 10+ style points. There is zero tolerance for any type of errors.

I had no idea this was the process. Really cool!

With that said, I haven't ordered anything new in over two years since my current employment is way less formal these days. Can I still reference my previous order for replication even if it was on the old website?

Yes. While the site has changed a few times (), the process in general has remained unaffected.

are there more of these stretchy jean fabrics?

There are a few. We are adding a lot more stretch options - for chinos, jeans and shirts. Some truly amazing items.

When I used to buy clothing before Luxire, would only tend to pick 100% natural fibers. Would avoid things with lycra, polyester, rayon, nylon etc. I regret.
