@luxire

do you allow customers to provide their own fabric (one you don’t carry) for trousers? If so, what would the cost be?

thanks!
I believe it’s $150 for pants

do post the results. Am intrigued

The bag is finished and just shipped out this morning. It will probably be here a few days after Christmas, but that's my fault. I didn't conceptualize the gift until it was too late to arrive before the holiday.

Very quick service from Luxire, as usual. If experience is a indicator, it should be here in 7-10 days.

Does anyone know the weight of the lining fabric if you choose "Winter lining-Fully Lined Front & Back" for trousers?

@luxire did you get a chance to check out the VBC and E Thomas Black watch fabrics?

Both are of similar weight. The EThomas is more subdued in style and is a a finer fabric.

The VBC is 100% wool and 10 Oz
The Ethomas is 90% Wool Super Merino, 10% Cashmere 9.6 Oz

Since you guys asked here's the result of the bag order. Pics to follow

1. amazingly, it arrived Christmas eve, so I was able to give it to my wife on Christmas day.
2. It is an exact replica of the design save the thigns I asked to be changed.
3. I'm no expert in leatherwork, but to me the materials and workmanship look pretty much perfect.

Here are a couple of shots I took, followed by a couple that Luxire took before they sent the bag to us. They have better lighting and photo setup of course - ...it was a nice touch, too.

One thing we did not like about the cheaper version is the unfinished seams. I asked Luxire to finish them nicely for us. I think they did a pretty much perfect job. Take a look:

I asked them to put in a lining that was a little nicer. They gave us a subtle flannel that looks great with the brown purse:

Then a couple of pics that Luxire took before they shipped the bag.

overall, I'd give @luxire 6 out of 5 stars - from the conception of the gift to the ordering process, to the quick turnaround, to the great quality result to the reasonable price - I'm quite happy with the whole thing. If you're looking for leatherwork, I would personally recommend Luxire based on this experience.

Amazing CS experience with @luxire . I made a mistake on my Thanksgiving order that was clearly my fault, and Luxire stil took great care of me. Anyone on the fence, get off of it. Jump on in. Waters warm.

Good for you. My experience was the other way around. Might be an oops from them though, will ask them again and see if they change their tune.

So luxire has a lot options for customization and its a bit overwhelming. I'm trying to configure a one piece button down that replicate this look. Can anybody provide me with details for how to order this?

I’d reach out to CS with the attached photo and explain what you’re looking for personally.

First go with Luxire. 400g 8 wale beige-brown corduroy. 31 cm rise and 20.5 cm leg opening.

Would you recommend any alterations/changes for my next order?

The fabric feels great, and I would recommend it if you are looking for some heavy cords

Received the first of my Black Friday order after working. with the team on some trouser pattern/fit adjustments since my last pair 2+ years ago.

Grey Wool Flannel high rise with an Ambrosi-style waistband, single reverse pleat, and hidden waist adjustment buttons.

Will work with the team on some fine-tuning, but overall happy. The hidden waist adjustment buttons are a great feature for a clean look. (Ignore the socks)

Does anyone know what season these fabrics are best suited for? I would initially think it would be winter, but because of its weight, I'm leaning more towards it being an all-season mid-weight fabric (more suited towards Spring/fall; not too hot but not too cold).
