How does a VBC: Dark Grey Tropical Wool differ from a Fresco type of fabric?

Similar, quite like the Minnis Frsco Lite. It is 2-ply, 8 Oz.

Thanks for the information, can we still hope for a Tobacco linen for this Summer?
Sure. We have the Dugdale Tobacco linen. Will add.

Has anyone asked Luxire to "soften up" their oxfords when ordering? If so, how'd it turn out? Is this even a possibility? I live in Texas and the softer the better.

I have those same "cream" trousers (they're a shiny yellow irl). I ordered them at the same time as a VBC flannel. The VBC flannel fits me quite well, whereas the cream trousers are nigh unwearable, as they do not drape and they wrinkle and crinkle if you so much as look at them. Also the color is fukken fugly. With that in mind, I believe your trousers fit you reasonably well. Send the pictures to luxire and ask for suggestions. I do not believe any large changes are going to be necessary.

Thanks for the reply! Asked luxire for help but they said there's nothing more they can do! And yeah, the color is indeed a bit challenging, didn't really look like the one pictured on the homepage when I ordered.

X-posting from The Tailors thread to hopefully get some of your discerning opinions as well :)

I just got my first MTM shirt from Luxire and I’m seeking some advice on adjustments to make for my next order. I generally have a slim figure and plan to wear this fit untucked in a very casual work setting.

My initial thoughts:
* Shoulders: A few things stand out here. 1. I have a pretty noticeable right shoulder dip. However, I don’t necessarily see any negative effects of this on the shirt fit at the moment so not sure if I should bother adjusting for it at all. 2. There is a ripple on each side of the front between the collar and shoulders. At first, this looked like symptoms of square shoulders or inward rounded shoulders (from what I read online), but on closer examination I think they are instead just being pushed up by my pronounced clavicle bones so I’m not sure anything can be done about them. 3. The edges of the shirt fall about 0.25 inches past the tip of my shoulder bone on each side, so perhaps I should shorten the yoke by a tiny bit? It may help with the slight bunching across the upper back.
* Midsection/Waist: It looks a bit tight in the front, so I’m considering increasing the midsection by 0.5 inches. In the back, however, there is definitely excess fabric. I’m not sure how I feel about darts, but when I emailed the Luxire contact about tapering the sides of the back panel only they said it wasn’t possible without ruining the fit of the shirt, so darts may be my only option.
* Sleeve width: I see some notable bunching around the bicep area, so perhaps I should decrease the sleeve width by a tiny bit?
* Bottom: Increase by 0.5 inches

Thanks in advance for any help!

Anyone else who experience very long reply times for emails to/from Luxire at the moment?

I´ve sent two emails to them the last week and a half, with no response. Could it be cought up in a spam filter someplace? Maybe.

... But wanted to check in here to see if it´s not my fault, just this once.

( @luxire @LuxireStudio it´s regarding order #38544 from the black friday sale. )

was this the 7311 I ordered?

edit: yes it is, here’s a photo of it after a day of wear. Also make sure you pick up a pair of the 13 oz VBC 4 ply - wonderfully smooth but porous, happily wore it during Australian summer. I’ve heard it even handles Singaporean humidity, and the drape is fantastic too.

Regarding my post some days back:

I got a very quick response from Luxire in the message section of Styleforum after I posted. It turns out something is wrong with my email. Their emails haven´t gotten through to me. But now, as always before, things are sorted out.

Hello everyone, been reading quite a few pages of the Luxire and considering placing an order. For those of you who have sent their own fabric to make a trouser, what lenght did it require?
